Description

Total R&D expenditure includes expenditure by the General Government, higher education, the business sector and non-profit institutions. In the case of Spain, R&D expenditure by General Government and higher education represents 0.5% of GDP for the period 2015-19, i.e. about 45% of the country’s total R&D expenditure.
